Using Function to extract arguments from contract, not expressed in logs

hi, could you please create an example of querying a function, from within a smartContract’s code, and returning an arguments value (for that function)?

In “argument” cube / smartContractSignature / signatureType (Function / Event) / Event OR Method

seem to be the relevant code for the query, but I haven’t been able to create a query.
